The Quality of Life Questionnaire for Japanese School-aged Children with Asthma (QOL-JSCA-v3)
Asano, M., Sugiura, T., Miura, K., et al. (2006). Reliability andvalidity of the self-report Quality of Life Questionnaire for Japanese School-aged Children with Asthma (JSCA-QOL v.3). Allergol Int, 55, 59–65.
Children who experience asthma can have diminished quality of life due to unexpected attacks, and the general burden of having to manage their symptoms. Because asthma can prevent children from engaging in normal developmental activities, it can also prevent children them from experiencing a sense of achievement which can be derived from these behaviours. For this reason the Quality of Life Questionnaire for Japanese School-aged Children with Asthma (QOL-JSCA-v3) was developed and validated.
The psychometric properties of the Quality of Life Questionnaire for Japanese School-aged Children with Asthma (QOL-JSCA-v3) are discussed in Asano, Sugiura, Miura, et al. (2006).
